I apologise for my posts being so sparse in the last few months but
good eateries are becoming more and more difficult to come across.
But thank God I recently found one and it is a really good one!
This place is called The Market Restaurant & Deli and it is
found in a cosy, very hip shopping centre called S’Mall & Chic.
I believe the restaurant/deli has taken over what was previously
Gourmandises d’Anne and the bakery Pain & Moulins.

Unbeknown to me, two of the restauranteurs of The Market Restaurant & Deli,
are actually hoteliers that I had previously met on seperate accounts
but who have now come together to open this restaurant around 4 months ago!
What a small world 🙂
And of course, it is a no-brainer that the quality of the food and service
are bound to be close to perfection, being under the close supervision of
these experienced hospitality-trained professionals.
Sitting in this quaint little courtyard, I nearly forgot I was in Mauritius,
and thought I was in a small European alleyway.
Beautiful fresh flowers on each table.
Italian condiment stand also found on every table.

Exquisite lamb dish.
Fresh parma ham stuffed raviolini, black Truffle salsa, cream and Parmigiano Reggiano.I loved this dish! So luxurious with the truffles and so creamy and sinful. Not something you can eat everyday but worthwhile every once in a while! 🙂I love that they receive fresh pasta twice a week from an Italian source. You can’t beat this authenticity!

(A great alternative to the ravioli as they are similar)
Sauteed Bio vegetables. Crunchy and deeelicious!
